Low Carb Food Pyramid

Low carb diet is a high-protein diet, therefore you will eat enough protein foods to satisfy your hunger. For sources of carbohydrate, give priority to leafy green vegetables, followed by low-carb fruits and legumes. Get only a small amount of carbohydrate from whole grains foods. For fats, go for healthy vegetable oils (such as corn oil, olive oil, canola oil, etc.), as well as from nuts and seeds and fruits like avocado. For dairy foods, consume in moderate amount as these products do have carbs in them.

No Refined Starches & Sugar
Generally, sugar and all products made from refined starches are excluded from the low carb food list. Some fruits are allowed, but fruits with high glycemic index which will raise the blood sugar levels rapidly are restricted.

Limited Amount of Carbohydrates Allowed Daily
To lose weight, you are only allowed to have a certain grams of carbohydrates a day, and the amount may varies among individuals. Some may have up to 60 grams while some can only have about 20 grams.
